Google TV: Watch Movies & TV App Reviews

The title bar says "Google Play Movie..." Scrolling is janky. Play next shows episodes I stopped watching during the credits. Browsing my catalog is tedious. Needs to be much better to be taking my money.

I dont get this app. There is no purchase button. Or Im missing something. Regardless the app should be super easy to use and be able to make purchases easily.

Streaming is owe full

I have 2 original iPad mini tablets. After the update on one tablet, movies no longer play or download on the one I updated but still work fine on the older version. Error states the movie format is not supported.

Finally google dark theme :)...Why this take you sooo long?

I am a Google/Android user except the tablet, I prefer the iPad. I buy plenty of music, movies and books from Google and my biggest gripe is not being able to watch episodes of a show one after the other automatically. Being on a plane constantly has me couped up with whatever I can offline from my library. Please Google, for me and the Google users that pump far more money into apps and movies in your ecosystem give us what is called "Binge Watch Mode" in the Android app. It would make life better and stars go up!

I had google movies on my tablet and then my tablet broke and then I got an iPhone and I thought I lost all my money I spent on my movies then I looked up google and this popped up and I downloaded it. I didnt even have to sign in it just got my email right away and I was in!! I got all my movies and shows back and Im so happy!!

Doesnt work with Chromecast. Had to watch on my computer because it buffered every 5 seconds. Very disappointing.

Just a heads-up; when streaming purchases, the sound is in mono only. The only way to get stereo sound is to download the purchase to your device iOS device. This is true on the YouTube app as well when streaming purchases. Also, due to "licensing issues" all downloads are in standard definition (480p) only. Also, there is no option to auto play episodes of shows after one episode ends; you have to click the next episode to start. This seems like a very basic version of the Google Play Movies & TV app for Android, but it is missing many key features. You are much better off with a different digital locker for your purchases. Googles digital locker is severely lacking and outdated compared to its competitors.

Whenever I cant find a movie, I know where to look.

No airplay support and cant purchase in app. Needs apple TV app

I like this app

Well designed app, but could still use some improvements. First and foremost, there are no lock screen controls for casting like there is with the YouTube app. Adding this in would be a great feature. Second, there is no dark mode, which would be pretty handy to have. Overall, it is a well designed app that could be even better with a few tweaks.

Great app to buy, rent and watch movies!

When using Apples AirPods, telling Siri to turn up the volume does not work with this app like it does with YouTube or other video apps. It says "you dont appear to be playing anything". Other than that I have no real complaints.

Gives you movies and the movies arent as expensive as iPhones are. Never had an issue with this app even when using it on an iPhone! Will always use google no matter what.

Only down side I can think of is that you cant purchase or rent movies though the app. You have to use an actual computer (unless Im missing something or they have recently updated it). Other than that, its a great app!

It works well. Cannot buy movies through the app. More frustrating is how difficult it can be to rewind or fast forward.
