I wish there were force touch controls and the ability to buy movies and shows through the app

This app is just a long and incomplete list of some movies. No categories, no browsing, no sorting. Just why?

I cant find any purchase, install or any bottom related to buying movies. It only has a wish list; so what is it? Are you only bragging about the movies you have?! No, seriously where is the bottom?

The app works and is great

I installed it then it locked me on a page I could not get it to back out of. Immediately deleted it and would not advise using this app from an iPhone.

The buying experience is fine – I was able to find and purchase my movie easily on the Web – but actually watching the video is disappointing. Compared to Netflix and iTunes, not only is the image quality dismal, but there is no feature to zoom in (which would have been especially nice for my extra-widescreen movie on my not-widescreen iPad), and you have to wait for the movie to finish downloading completely before you can watch it.

This app is crazy awesome

The iOS version of Google Play Movies still does not support 5.1 surround sound. Very disappointing.

If we can redeem codes directly to the app then is would be perfect

This must be a joke

Most of the time there is no icon for airplay. I can see that icon in YouTube though. Therefore, looks like an app problem.

But would be useful to ne able to buy movies from here

How could google come up with something this crappy? Dumb app!

1) there is no option to let you organize your movies into categories (like genre or family member, which means if my kids want to watch Toy Story, I have to scroll through all of my Die Hard movies first) 2) there is no option to delete or hide movies (sometimes I buy a movie on sale and dont really want to see it again) 3) there is no useful rewind or fast forward option - just a scroll bar and your best guesstimate. With all the competition out there for video streaming and digital purchases, Google needs to step up their game.

Lots of new releases and great prices for renting!

I feel like I shouldnt have to be a private detective to figure out where my purchases are hiding. They should just show up first, especially the unwatched episodes. Other than that, its solid.

Just a heads-up; when streaming purchases, the sound is in mono only. The only way to get stereo sound is to download the purchase to your device. This is true on the YouTube app as well when streaming purchases. Also, due to "licensing issues" all downloads are in standard definition (480p) only. You are much better off with a different digital locker for your purchases.

I love the 4K option to buy movies.

Great for our familys many shared devices.
