Google TV: Watch Movies & TV App Reviews

I purchase and download HD video, but it is low quality on playback. Definitely not HD. Why?

This app does not support AirPlay to stream purchased movies to the TV via AppleTV. Only Apples system wide AirPlay function "works" (well, Apple unfortunately missed to implement video streaming into it, so it plays only the sound through the TV). But, with no proper AirPlay support this app defeats the purpose.

Purchases in the app not possible, streaming on a Samsung TV not possible (YouTube app no problems). Sucks. Get better before flooding the apple ecosystem with such crap.

Downloaded a movie purchased before from Google Play, now can view it offline. Amazon wont let you do this. (Tried on an iPhone 4, rendering is as good as the iPhone can do it.)

I love this app I was so surprised that there was a google play movies app for iPhone, but one thing can you make the movies available for download, please!!!!! Then Ill rate 5 stars!! Please! :)

Couldnt download. Had to stream the movie Big. Kept stoping and at 1:11 wouldnt play. Just saw the wheel turning. So had to go back to the iTunes Store and rent it for 4.99 so my wife and I could finish watching it. Google Play on an ipad, must be a joke. Great movie by the way!

App wont let you download the movie so you can only watch it on wifi yet the movie is purchased.

Only one star from me until this app can download the movies for offline playback. Not useful for travel etc at the moment.

Please tell me I am just missing the option ? The app needs Air Play support

So many flaws with this app. Firstly, you cant actually purchase thought the app, you have to go through the web. This isnt a huge deal but a slight inconvenience. Secondly, the checkout process locks you in the region that the gps provides, not helpful if travelling. Thirdly, the app will only let you watch videos via wifi, not on 3G and theres no disclaimer for that until AFTER I purchased something. Lastly, even with a wifi connection you cant actually save anything onto your device which is a major inconvenience if travelling. Overall, this app has many flaws that I hope they fix in the future.

Good idea to enable connection to chromecast but it would be more useful if the app allowed you to browse and rent movies

Since you can now watch movies offline it can do what it should do. It is now a useful app. Perfect.

Google, next time you drop an app in the Apple Store it would be nice if you advised that it doesnt work seemlessly. AirPlay would have been a nice feature to support. If I had known your app doesnt support this I wouldnt have rented a movie through your app.

No access to anything on any database. A useless app.

I have an iPad 3, and attempted to rent via a browser (since there is no in-app rental function). I rent the movie and Google opens this app automatically after the rental. Once the app is open, I get the 48 hours to watch warning, but the content will never play. I have attempted pre-downloading the content, reinstalling the app and rebooting my iPad - nothing works, the content will. To play. The app fails at its core function.

No AirPlay No Point in Using Google Play for anything.
