Does not Play Rented Content

I have an iPad 3, and attempted to rent via a browser (since there is no in-app rental function). I rent the movie and Google opens this app automatically after the rental. Once the app is open, I get the 48 hours to watch warning, but the content will never play. I have attempted pre-downloading the content, reinstalling the app and rebooting my iPad - nothing works, the content will. To play.
